Spyderco's Delica and Endura models are two of the most popular and widely used folding knives in history. These groundbreaking designs pioneered the concept of the lightweight, clip-carry, one-hand-opening folding knife and were instrumental in establishing injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) as a handle material.
Since their debut in 1990, the Delica and Endura Lightweights have steadily evolved to arrive at the current fourth-generation versions. Now available in a broad range of blade steels, grinds, edge configurations, and handle colors, these iconic models are considered by many to be about as perfect as working knives can be. But when it comes to knives, "perfect" is always in the eyes—and the hands—of the beholder.
Features carrying-over to the new version are the tried and tested mid-sized blade and ergonomic handle along with a front-finger choil and spine cusp. Also staying int he blade-to-handle geometry and leveraging points which make the Dragonfly cut and feel like a much larger knife when in the hand.
New refinements include: the addition of a left/right tip-up wire clip, patented Bi-Directional Texturing on the handle, choil and spine jimping and screw together handle construction. The blade is still premium VG-10, now in a high-performance flat-grind.
The position of the enlarged Spyderco Round Opening Hole in relation to the pivot leads to smooth oepning and the FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle fits the hand ergonomically with a series of grip angles and leveraging spots.
Spyderco's first Sprint Run Shaman elevates this workhorse design with a satin-finished blade crafted from Crucible CPM-S90V and stunning solid carbon fiber scales. The radiused edges of the scales ensure an exceptionally comfortable grip, while highlighting the beautiful layered construction of the carbon fiber material. Skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within the scales provide outstanding structural strength for the knife and its Compression Lock mechanism, while providing a solid anchor for its polished, four-position pocket clip.
Spyderco Sprint Runs are limited edition production runs of items not found in their standard product line. They may be unique versions of current knives or special expressions of discontinued designs.
The Para 3 Lightweight model has a black FRN handle and a satin finished blade with a plain edge.
The Para 3 Lightweight takes the concept of the original Para 3 to a whole new level. As the original was a smaller, lighter version of the popular Paramilitary 2, this model is even lighter. The handle is made from textured injection-molded FRN and is set for ambidextrous tip-up carry. The blade is made from CTS-BD1N with a full-flat ground satin finish
The Meerkat was designed with a secret locking mechanism called a Phantom Lock. This pressure release locking system unlocks the blade by simultaneously sliding the handle scales in opposite directions. Although not visible, the lock's mechanics offer a safe, secure, and unique method of locking and unlocking the blade.
Spyderco's award winning Autonomy automatic knife design is receiving a makeover in the form of the utilitarian Autonomy 2. The Autonomy 2 differs from the original design with a more neutral handle grip and a drop point blade profile for everyday use. This new design features the same mechanism and prominent firing button for easy use in gloved hands. The full-flat ground blade is made from nitrogen based LC200N rustproof steel for maximized corrosion resistance. A unique hourglass pocket clip straddles the lanyard hole and is reversible for left or right side carry.

Because, at Spyderco, they practice the principle of C.Q.I. - Constant Quality Improvement. If they can refine and improve the ergonomics or cutting performance of an established model, we do it.
Crucible Industries' S35VN steel substitutes niobium carbides for some of the vanadium in their popular S30V steel. They estimate this steel to be 15-20% tougher than S30V without any loss of wear resistance—it's improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. This steel has gained rapid popularity with both custom knifemakers and the steel aficionados who make up a good chunk of your customers.
